These Ticket Transfer Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the ticket transfer feature provided by Shine Tickets events. By using the Transfer Feature, you agree to be bound by these Terms as well as our General Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the Transfer Feature.
1. Eligibility and Availability
- The Transfer Feature is only available for select events and ticket types, as determined by the event organiser.
- Only tickets purchased directly through Shine Tickets are eligible for transfer.
- Tickets explicitly marked as non-transferable or subject to restricted use cannot be transferred.
2. How Transfers Work
- Transfers are initiated through your Shine Tickets wallet by entering the recipient’s email address..
- The recipient must accept the transfer and may be required to create an account to access the ticket.
- Once accepted, the original ticket is cancelled, and the new digital ticket is issued to the recipient.
- Transfer confirmations will be sent to both parties via email.
3. Transfer Restrictions
- Transfers must be requested no later than 2 hours before the event start time, and completed no later than 1 hour before the event start time, unless otherwise specified.
- Certain promotional, discounted, VIP, or group tickets may not be eligible for transfer.
- Tickets may only be transferred once unless additional transfers are explicitly permitted.
4. Fees
- Transfers are free of charge within the first 72 hours of purchase.
- After 72 hours a processing fee may apply to each ticket to be transferred. If applicable, fees will be clearly displayed before the transfer is finalised.
- Processing fees are non-refundable.
- There are no fees for the recipient to accept a transferred ticket.
5. User Responsibility
- You are solely responsible for ensuring the recipient’s contact details are correct prior to initiating a transfer.
- We accept no liability for lost, misdirected, or incorrectly transferred tickets due to user error.
- Once a ticket is transferred and accepted, it cannot be reclaimed or cancelled by the original ticket holder.
6. Security and Fraud
- We reserve the right to cancel any transfer or invalidate tickets if fraudulent or suspicious activity is detected.
- We may require additional verification, including proof of identity, before a transfer is approved.
- The use of the Transfer Feature for unauthorised resale or touting is strictly prohibited and may lead to cancellation of tickets and suspension of accounts.
7. Resale Policy
- Tickets must not be resold or offered for sale for profit through the Transfer Feature unless explicitly permitted by the event organiser.
- Any attempt to resell tickets in breach of the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 or the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 may result in ticket cancellation without refund.
8. Changes to the Transfer Feature
- We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or withdraw the Transfer Feature at any time for any reason, including operational, legal, or regulatory requirements.
- We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Transfer Feature will constitute your acceptance of any changes.
9. Your Consumer Rights
- Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under local consumer law.
- If an event is cancelled or significantly changed, refund and transfer options will be provided in line with our Refund Policy.
